What should I do if I have a toothache?
If you’re experiencing a persistent toothache that won’t seem to go away, it could be caused by an infection that has made its way to the inner chamber of your tooth and begun attacking the pulp, which is a collection of nerves and soft tissue. It’s important to call us as soon as possible so we can schedule a same-day emergency appointment for you and create a treatment plan to address your pain and prevent the issue from progressing. Typically, in these situations, we may recommend root canal therapy.
What’s the difference between a general and pediatric dentist?
General dentists can call themselves “children’s dentists,” but pediatric dentists have undergone special two-year residency programs where they solely focused on treating children, which general dentists have not. This specialty training is what sets them apart from other dentists, giving them extra skills and knowledge on child oral development, communication techniques, and special needs patient care.
How long do BOTOX results last?
BOTOX results typically last between three and four months, but for some patients, especially those who regularly receive BOTOX injections, they can last up to six months.
I’m scared of the dentist. What should I do if I need treatment?
We see countless patients who experience dental fear and anxiety and believe that nobody should have to jeopardize their emotional wellbeing to take care of their smile. That’s why we’re happy to accommodate you in any way we’re able to, including offering nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation to help you feel more relaxed in the treatment chair.
Why are dental implants so popular?
Dental implants are among the most popular solutions to tooth loss because they offer a wide array of unique benefits that distinguish them from traditional treatment options like dentures and bridges. Some of these advantages include prevention of jawbone deterioration, preservation of facial structure, and a lifelike look and feel. To learn more about dental implants and whether you’re a good candidate, give our office a call to schedule a consultation.
Will dental insurance cover the cost of implants?
Unfortunately, many dental insurance plans don’t cover the cost of implants. However, every plan is different, and yours may pay a portion of the price, so it’s always worthwhile to contact your insurance provider and ask!
