Why Did You Decide To Become A Dentist?

Since she can remember, Dr. Daniels always wanted to become a doctor. Growing up, Dr. Daniels was influenced by her own dentist to pursue pediatric dentistry. Practicing pediatric dentistry has allowed Dr. Daniels to combine her passion of helping others all while building relationships with her patients and their families.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Daniels was born and raised just south of San Francisco and recently made the cross-country move to the Capital District. She attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. After completing her undergraduate studies, she returned to San Francisco where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Daniels made the move back to the state of Michigan where she completed a two and a half- year residency in pediatric dentistry. During her residency, Dr. Alexis earned a master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry for her thesis titled: Obstetricians / Gynecologists’ Education, Knowledge, Attitudes and Behavior concerning the Effects of Pregnant Patients’ Oral Health on Pregnancy Outcomes: A National Survey.

Dr. Daniels is a board-certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association. Dr. Daniels is also fluent in Spanish.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

In her free time, you can find Dr. Daniels petting all the puppies around town, especially any type of doodle. Dr. Daniels enjoys going for walks around her neighborhood, attending workout classes at local establishments, and having a nice cup of coffee. You can always find Dr. Daniels watching college football (Go Blue!) or exploring local gluten free restaurants with her fiancé.
