Get to Know Dr. Cheryl Sorbero
Dr. Cheryl Sorbero is a New York native (she was born in Long Island and grew up in Amsterdam). In her 15+ year career, she has completed training in all aspects of orthodontic treatment – from orthodontic surgery to Invisalign aligner treatment. Now, she is using everything she has learned to help our patients at Schoharie Dental achieve their healthiest, happiest smiles! Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY, Dr. Sorbero attended Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. She earned her DDS in 1999 before immediately pursuing an orthodontic residency. Now, she is an active member of several professional organizations, including:
- The American Association of Orthodontists
- The American Dental Association
- The Northeast Society of Orthodontists
- The New York State Dental Association
- The Third District Dental Society
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
On the evenings and weekends, Dr. Sorbero loves spending time with her husband, their two children, and their furry family members. She also enjoys serving her community in her free time!
